We are a group of MSc. students in Food Innovation and Product Design from AgroParisTech. With a strong foundation in food science, our expertise lies in creating innovative and sustainable solutions to meet industry needs. Our drive is aiming to make a meaningful impact on the future of food.
Our vision
Our goal is to create accessible, healthy, and complete protein sources that are sustainably produced. Right now, most protein options in the market come from animals, which are not environmentally sustainable and contribute significantly to carbon emissions in the food system. On the other hand, plant-based proteins often lack all essential amino acids, making them incomplete sources of protein. They also contain anti-nutritional factors that reduce the body’s ability to absorb nutrients effectively. While fungi-based proteins exist, they are not currently designed to address this gap in the market.
Our solution
We are formulating a nutritional, ready-to-consume food product based on mycoproteins of fungi origin that will be convenient and also help achieve sustainability in food for modern dietary needs. It will be either a liquid or powder soup made from mycoprotein and contains a high amount of protein with an excellent nutritional profile. This would be a soup that is easy to consume on the go and is suitable for those individuals who are looking to find quick, healthy, and substantial nourishment without compromising quality or taste. The product is particularly apt for vegetarians, vegans, and flexitarians because it offers a healthy substitute for meat-based foods in line with the continuously rising trend of plant-based diets. Since it contains mycoprotein, it promotes sustainable food choices, thus reducing harmful effects of meat production on the environment.
