About the team

Our team consists of two passionate individuals pursuing master’s degrees in Marine and Aquaculture Resource Management at Wageningen University and Research. Coming from Asia, where aquaculture thrives, we bring a deep understanding of its potential and challenges. Driven by a shared vision to optimize resources for sustainable outcomes, we complement each other’s strengths by delegating tasks effectively. Together, we aim to revolutionize aquaculture through innovation and efficiency, ensuring impactful solutions.

Our vision

Vision: To revolutionize seafood production by achieving 100% circularity, where every resource is sustainably utilized, waste is eliminated, and innovation maximizes the potential of every space. Problem Statement: Global food production faces the challenges of scarcity and waste. Limited resources and inefficient systems lead to insufficient food supplies and food waste. This creates unnecessary resource depletion and generates environmental pollution, highlighting the urgent need for sustainable production and waste management solutions.

Our solution

To address food scarcity and waste, we can introduce a vertical IMTA farming system. Through this approach, we maximize production density in limited spaces and create sustainable seafood cultivation closer to consumers, significantly reducing food miles and associated emissions. This closed-loop system aligns with the vision of achieving 100% circularity, ensuring every resource is utilized effectively.
